Simple din din this eve. We had a half of a block of tempeh in the fridge, so I decided sammies were in order. I sliced it in half , marinated the slices in tamari then threw on the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side. When they were all ready, I simply piled it on an Arnold’s thin with some fresh cucumber and tomato slices..
added a side of steamed kale and some carrots
First I added cashews, flax seeds, and almonds to the food processor (perhaps I shoulda used a blender with a cross blade??!?!). I did not have almond meal, like the recipe called for, so thats why I added the almonds first!
They certainly are not as pretty as I was anticipating BUT they tasted delicious!!! Thanks so much for the idea, Averie!
